Maddi and Jess Take Hogwarts

Two blog posts in two days? I'm quite impressed with myself. Well, since the last post was quite lengthy, this one won't be. It looks lengthy, but there's just a lot of photos. I'll just share a bit about the adventure Jess and I had on the weekend. For those of you that aren't Harry Potter fans, this post may not mean much to you, but alas...

On Saturday, Michael left for Australia to get his visa - an unfortunate detour to New York - which meant that we couldn't go to the Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour like we planned, so Jess and I went instead.

I hopped in a taxi to the station on Sunday to commence my two and a half journey to get to the studio. I met Jess at a station in London, as she stayed in the city overnight, and we got there at about 12:40. We got into the tour at 1... and so began one of the most amazing experiences of our lives :P

 Entrance to the Great Hall

The Great Hall... Two tables are set and there are mannequins sporting uniforms from each house around the hall. I tapped on the 'stone' walls and they're plastic! Although it doesn't look like it.

Teachers in the Great Hall... the little one (can't remember name), Mad Eye Moody, McGonagall, Dumbledore, Snape, Hagrid and Filch

Diagon Alley

Absolutely amazing and incredible to-scale model of Hogwarts. Took 3 months to build.

So... That is the rundown of our day. The tour was amazing, we got to see so many sets and costumes and we got to see how green screens were used with Quiddich, and most of the props that were used, masks, the animatronic Buckbeak, the gross foetus-Voldemort, mandrakes, etc etc etc and basically everything you could imagine, and I'm so glad we went.

Thanks for reading :)
Love you
Maddi
